If Tomás Bernard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 35 minutes into the match, Bairoletto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Basilio Fernandez came free, but Jurand Bryk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes in the game, Basilio Fernandez dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. If Remigio Quirze had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Tomás Bernard fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of François-Xavier Dionnet, passed just outside the right post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remigio Quirze to make the kick off. With a little luck, Bairoletto FC's Jurand Bryk got control of the ball when Basilio Fernandez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jurand Bryk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovanni Zalon, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Filiberto Medina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
