With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rodolfo Cordeiro in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Severino Barros saved Palermo AFC from getting behind. After 8 minutes, Rodolfo Cordeiro made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Palermo AFC's Severino Barros tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Palermo AFC succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Santa Maradona had controlled the match.
