The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Grosso United's goalkeeper Jonas Bladi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Grosso United's Eduardo Gonchan managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Qiao Kang Zhen in the 6 minute of the game. 8 minutes into the match, Palermo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cayetano Xacintu came free, but Severino Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, Ulises Gartzen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Severino Barros. Palermo AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ulises Gartzen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. A collision led to Palermo AFC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Qiao Kang Zhen hit a great ball. Cayetano Xacintu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Severino Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Palermo AFC defense, Åke Abelsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severino Barros. The Palermo AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severino Barros should have stopped the shot. Palermo AFC's Rodrigo Bautista got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 35 minutes Grosso United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marcelo Domiku who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Egon Lätte heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 39th minute Gustavo da Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Palermo AFC's Severino Barros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulises Gartzen in the 46th minute of play. In the 47th minute Ulises Gartzen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severino Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulises Gartzen made a kick off. Severino Barros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cayetano Xacintu in the 52nd minute of the match. A collision led to Palermo AFC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Cao Xi Kuan hit a great ball. Severino Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Åke Abelsson in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Palermo AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fikri Bera was slow to take the kick. During this time Grosso United's players had a chance to rest. After 73 played minutes Grosso United got a freekick which was hit by Alejo Bastiaro. Jonas Bladi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Bautista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonas Bladi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodrigo Bautista in the 81st minute of the match. Reynaldo Pietro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Severino Barros having to make a save. Sixto Gumaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Severino Barros made a huge save. Severino Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reynaldo Pietro, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The referee showed Alejo Bastiaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Grosso United's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
