Segundo Peyo thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Martín Izquierdo, a very annoying self made goal in the 45th minute which led to 0-5. The Martin Palermo F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. RB Chubut were winning 0-5.

RB Chubut's Isaac Mingo was substituted for Justino Heli. Prospero Maju showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastián Izquierdo, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 58th minute Alfonso Bikendi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martín Izquierdo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Prospero Maju took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Izquierdo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Martin Palermo F.C.'s Filomeno Dino got a free kick in the 60th minute. RB Chubut made a substitution. Andrézinho Pelé replaced Alfonso Bikendi. The supporters of RB Chubut booed when Martin Palermo F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filomeno Dino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andrézinho Pelé received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Martín Izquierdo came out and tried to block the shot, but Andrézinho Pelé slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastián Izquierdo in the 73rd minute of play forced RB Chubut's goalkeeper Prospero Maju to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. RB Chubut's Andrézinho Pelé got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Martín Izquierdo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrézinho Pelé in the 79th minute of play. Isaac Mingo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martín Izquierdo having to interfere. The RB Chubut supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing RB Chubut would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
