Augusto Ellande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garcia Morros in the 11th minute of play. Judas Verón who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Augusto Ellande when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Belgrano de Pibasog were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Mercedes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Blue Dolar took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Eustaquio Fortun heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 18thth minute of the game Blue Dolar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mercedes's Augusto Ellande was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Belgrano de Pibasog were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Mercedes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Blue Dolar took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Blue Dolar got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Augusto Ellande quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Augusto Ellande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blue Dolar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blue Dolar in the 25th minute of play forced Mercedes's goalkeeper Augusto Ellande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th play minute Garcia Morros came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Augusto Ellande. 1-0. With a little luck, Mercedes's Augusto Ellande got control of the ball when Garcia Morros tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alvaro Abar struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Bernardo Raggio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mercedes. Bernardo Raggio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Abar in the 34th minute of the match. Augusto Ellande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Judas Verón, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Morais in the 37th minute of play forced Belgrano de Pibasog's goalkeeper Bernardo Raggio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Alvaro Abar in the 40th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Belgrano de Pibasog's Maximiano Delgado. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alvaro Abar to make the kick off. Bernardo Raggio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Morais in the 51st minute of play. Augusto Ellande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garcia Morros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Garcia Morros scored 2-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Augusto Ellande, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mercedes made a substitution. Anibal Phelipe replaced Melquiades Chinto. 61 minutes into the match, Mercedes's goal looked a bit too open when Blue Dolar came free, but Augusto Ellande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augusto Ellande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Judas Verón in the 64th minute of play. When Judas Verón, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 64 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Augusto Ellande was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar.
