Tiago Ozuna scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilija Skugor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 16 minutes into the match, Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiago Ozuna. With a little luck, Croatia's Ilija Skugor got control of the ball when Sever Rădescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 18th match minute, Croatia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teo Gudelj to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Croatia getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Damir Pongrac hit a great ball. Benjamin Domazet kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Ilija Skugor successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ilija Skugor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sever Rădescu in the 32nd minute of play. When Neven Culina fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Croatia's protests and gave Neven Culina a yellow card for diving instead. Neven Culina kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Toni Mauzer to strike the kick off in the second half. Club Atletico Nacional were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Croatia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tiago Ozuna took the corner. After taking down the ball on Club Atletico Nacional's corner Chris Mahler fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ilija Skugor quite easily take care of the ball. Ilija Skugor came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico Nacional's Sever Rădescu. But to his dismay, Sever Rădescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Sever Rădescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 63 minutes, Pes Pliego made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Croatia's Ilija Skugor tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Mahler, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After taking down the ball on Club Atletico Nacional's corner Pes Pliego fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ilija Skugor quite easily take care of the ball. 69 minutes into the game, Club Atletico Nacional's Tiago Ozuna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ilija Skugor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. In the 72nd minute Rutenio Galdamiz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilija Skugor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chris Mahler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Tiago Ozuna managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Nacional's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiago Ozuna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilija Skugor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ilija Skugor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiago Ozuna in the 75th minute of the match. In the 80th minute Chris Mahler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilija Skugor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Rutenio Galdamiz notched a goal, 8-0, to the right of Croatia's Ilija Skugor. Ilija Skugor was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Croatia defense, Tiago Ozuna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilija Skugor. The Croatia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilija Skugor should have stopped the shot. Club Atletico Nacional walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
