When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alf Odman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alf Odman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 51 minutes into the game, Morungaba SC's Alf Odman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Germany's Frank Sachs was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 67th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Frank Sachs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nestor Torres having to interfere. After having played for 75 minutes, Albin Holweck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albin Holweck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frank Sachs in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nestor Torres, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Clóvis Albuquerque charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clóvis Albuquerque the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 90 played minutes Morungaba SC got a freekick which was hit by Clóvis Albuquerque. The supporters of Germany booed when Morungaba SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Carlos Sanches didn't get a good kick on the ball.
