Jerzy Blicharz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. KAMILOS's Roland Alström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ken Pfulg in the 15th minute of play. Lucius Berger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michal Banan in the 19th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrizio Huber in the 21st minute of play forced KAMILOS's goalkeeper Roland Alström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucius Berger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wlodzimierz Dejo in the 23rd minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Lugano's goal looked a bit too open when Wlodzimierz Dejo came free, but Lucius Berger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lugano's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrizio Huber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roland Alström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jerzy Blicharz to make the kick off. With a little luck, Lugano's Lucius Berger got control of the ball when Michal Banan tried to sneak it across the goal line.
