Lugano's Lothaire Coccia suffered a concussion after 13 minutes and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kurt Mattsson during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Kurt Mattsson hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the game, Fjugesta's Joel Wiman nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lucius Berger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Lucius Berger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Mattsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute Joel Wiman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucius Berger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fjugesta were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Lugano's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ture Dahlbom took the corner.

Bruno Guimarães struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Isac Andberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lugano. Isac Andberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kai Kamarche, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 67th minute Kurt Mattsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucius Berger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Fjugesta's Simon Odol in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lugano's goalie prevented a goal. Kurt Mattsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the match, Fjugesta's goal looked a bit too open when Theodor Castelletti came free, but Isac Andberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Isac Andberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Guimarães in the 78th minute of play. Lucius Berger stood somewhat misplaced when Joel Wiman came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 80 minute. With a little luck, Lugano's Lucius Berger got control of the ball when Joel Wiman tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 84th match minute, Lugano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theodor Castelletti to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Joel Wiman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fjugesta's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Wiman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucius Berger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 90 minutes into the game, Joel Wiman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fjugesta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lugano the free kick. Joel Wiman kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 95 minutes, Lucius Berger successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The Fjugesta supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fjugesta would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
