The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Filipe do Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Sever Patriciu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Konrad Gardocki was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. Konrad Gardocki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sever Patriciu in the 8th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, FC Luck's goalkeeper Roch Cieslak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ian Correia. Progresso FC's Konrad Gardocki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sever Patriciu in the 13th minute of play. Konrad Gardocki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narcis Voinescu in the 15th minute of the match. Nestor Fontenelle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roch Cieslak having to interfere. Benedito Sergipano hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Roch Cieslak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Fontenelle, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Norberto Romero was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 24 minutes into the match. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 46 played minutes Progresso FC got a freekick which was hit by Benedito Sergipano. After the first half FC Luck were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nestor Fontenelle was the one to do the kick off. Sever Patriciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 58th minute, but Konrad Gardocki got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Progresso FC hanging dry this time. FC Luck's Narcis Voinescu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 62nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 66 played minutes, FC Luck's Marcel Trifu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Konrad Gardocki came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Luck reached it. Konrad Gardocki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sever Patriciu in the 67th minute of play. FC Luck's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vasile Târcă in the 69th minute. Narcis Voinescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Sever Patriciu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Luck's supporters rose to their feet, but Sever Patriciu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Konrad Gardocki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Konrad Gardocki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sever Patriciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Progresso FC made a substitution. Valdir Garcia replaced Breno Pires. FC Luck's Narcis Voinescu got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 85th minute, FC Luck's Narcis Voinescu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Konrad Gardocki. Konrad Gardocki yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. After having played for 95 minutes, Valdir Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Progresso FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valdir Garcia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Konrad Gardocki came out of the goal in the 98th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Luck's Pavel Logofătu. But to his dismay, Pavel Logofătu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6.
