Lugano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Belo Academy the free kick. In the 14th minute, Lothaire Coccia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute Manfredo Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucius Berger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lugano's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. José Augusto de Andrade was slow to take the kick. During this time Belo Academy's players had a chance to rest. 21 minutes into the match, Lugano's goal looked a bit too open when Manfredo Travassos came free, but Lucius Berger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Lugano getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Bruno Guimarães hit a great ball. In the 24th minute, José Augusto de Andrade sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lugano's Lucius Berger didn't even have to move. In the 26th minute Manfredo Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucius Berger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Isaltino Dantas got free with Lucius Berger in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 29th minute Kai Kamarche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Eduardo Mazza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucius Berger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfredo Travassos, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After a rather tough play, Belo Academy's Isaltino Dantas got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Kai Kamarche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Eduardo Mazza having to interfere. In the 36thth minute of the game Manfredo Travassos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lugano's Lucius Berger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Luís Eduardo Mazza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kai Kamarche, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manfredo Travassos in the 39th minute of play forced Lugano's goalkeeper Lucius Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Manfredo Travassos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lucius Berger. Manfredo Travassos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0.

In the 53rd minute Isaltino Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucius Berger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adhemar Penha hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. The audience held their breath when Paddy Aceto in the 58th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Luís Eduardo Mazza's left hand side. Lugano's Lucius Berger tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 81 minutes, Manfredo Travassos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belo Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manfredo Travassos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 84 minutes of play, Belo Academy's Manfredo Travassos made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lucius Berger was left in no man's land by his defense there! Isaltino Dantas succeeded in the game's 88th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isaltino Dantas in the 95th minute of play forced Lugano's goalkeeper Lucius Berger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Isaltino Dantas's late challenge caught a Lugano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isaltino Dantas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 96th match minute, Belo Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaltino Dantas to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Belo Academy had won after a very even match.
