Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

The wind increased when James Batistuta made the kick off in the second half. Dumitru Purcărete hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers James Batistuta in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermengildo Santana saved Coghlan FC from getting behind. Hermengildo Santana made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Gică Busuioc sent off a good shot on target. Hermengildo Santana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from King Scorpio went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-12 was the resulting score. Coghlan FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when James Batistuta scored to the left of an out of position Hermengildo Santana, making the score, 0-13. With a little luck, Coghlan FC's Hermengildo Santana got control of the ball when Gică Busuioc tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hermengildo Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from King Scorpio in the 78th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dumitru Purcărete got free with Hermengildo Santana in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 82nd match minute, Coghlan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Placido Cordarell to maneuver through the defense. James Batistuta who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Hermengildo Santana when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 88th play minute James Batistuta came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Hermengildo Santana. 0-15. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, King Scorpio took a quick shot and it went in 0-16 without a chance for Hermengildo Santana to make any attempt to save it. Coghlan FC's Hermengildo Santana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Coghlan FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Batistuta in the 97th minute of play forced Coghlan FC's goalkeeper Hermengildo Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
