Markus Nyman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norbert Major, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Sebastião Xoxe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Håkan Lindgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute of the match Brothers of Mercy got a corner. Pogoń Szczecin's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. 狄亦渊 ran over to the corner to take the kick. Brothers of Mercy's Marcin Adamko was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sebastião Xoxe in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Brothers of Mercy's Marcin Adamko slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sebastião Xoxe. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. Brothers of Mercy's attentive Per-Oskar Hjortsberg managed to snatch the ball when Anselmo Doris made a throw-in in the 13th minute of the game. Brothers of Mercy's Egon Röd managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cezary Jarocewicz in the 17 minute of the game. After 18 played minutes Brothers of Mercy got a freekick which was hit by Per-Oskar Hjortsberg. Norbert Major recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastião Xoxe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Håkan Lindgren in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norbert Major in the 31st minute of play forced Brothers of Mercy's goalkeeper Markus Nyman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Håkan Lindgren was the one to do the kick off. 50 minutes into the match, Pogoń Szczecin's goal looked a bit too open when Håkan Lindgren came free, but Sebastião Xoxe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patrik Skarkman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Sebastião Xoxe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norbert Major recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pogoń Szczecin's Sebastião Xoxe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Håkan Lindgren in the 58th minute of play. Sebastião Xoxe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Håkan Lindgren in the 63rd minute of the match. Brothers of Mercy's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Norbert Major scored to the left of an out of position Markus Nyman, making the score, 2-1. Pogoń Szczecin's Conrado Donzel was substituted for Ryszard Czerwiec. Jörgen Hedberg got a throw-in 72 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Håkan Lindgren. In the 75th match minute, Brothers of Mercy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörgen Hedberg to maneuver through the defense. Sebastião Xoxe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrik Skarkman in the 77th minute of play. In the 79th minute Brothers of Mercy were awarded a corner. 狄亦渊 went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 83rd minute, Marcin Adamko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute of the match Conrado Donzel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Markus Nyman showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Norbert Major might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Markus Nyman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Norbert Major ran back to his position shaking his head. Markus Nyman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norbert Major in the 86th minute of the match. Alex Axelsson hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Norbert Major took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Markus Nyman. Markus Nyman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Despite being the better team, Brothers of Mercy failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
