Alberto Pineda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonidas Barrera having to interfere. The supporters of Club Deportivo Águila booed when ORION F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Spadafora didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 8 minutes of play, ORION F.C.'s Luis Bermudez made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Peña was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alexander Murillo might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ricardo Peña. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexander Murillo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 15th minute, Alexander Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Peña was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alejandro Medrano got free with Leonidas Barrera in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportivo Águila's zone, Luis Bermudez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Peña came out of the goal and Luis Bermudez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricardo Peña didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexander Murillo went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. The Club Deportivo Águila players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. ORION F.C. were winning 0-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alexander Murillo made a kick off. After 53 played minutes Club Deportivo Águila got a freekick which was hit by Efrain Orobio. 55 minutes into the match, Alexander Murillo notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Club Deportivo Águila's Ricardo Peña. Ricardo Peña was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Efrain Orobio kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute, Alexander Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Peña. Club Deportivo Águila's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-7. Ricardo Peña made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luis Bermudez in the 66th minute. Ricardo Peña didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alexander Murillo went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. In the 92nd minute, ORION F.C.'s Felipe Gómez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ricardo Peña. Ricardo Peña yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-10. The ORION F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ORION F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
