In the 3rd minute William Villanueva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Liu Yong Yong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 5 minutes OROTINENSE's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Efrain Peredes who took care of the corner kick. If Jacek Walczak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Ángel Benito got free with Liu Yong Yong in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Liu Yong Yong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Ribeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. OROTINENSE's Liu Yong Yong proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save OROTINENSE from getting a goal against them. After 24 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Salvador Gomez. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacek Walczak in the 28th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Liu Yong Yong made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Miguel Ángel Benito sent off a good shot on target. 36 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's Miguel Ángel Benito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Liu Yong Yong narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Miguel Ángel Benito could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Liu Yong Yong made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Ángel Benito got free with Liu Yong Yong in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Liu Yong Yong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Villanueva in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacek Walczak in the 45th minute of play forced GuateFortín's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

OROTINENSE's Liu Yong Yong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Ángel Benito in the 51st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Miguel Ángel Benito put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Liu Yong Yong. Marcelo Barovero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruhi Uluöz in the 57th minute of the match. GuateFortín made a substitution. Edgardo Murgas replaced Juan José Ferrero. The supporters of GuateFortín booed when OROTINENSE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iordache Opincaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcelo Barovero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Songurhan Mete in the 68th minute. When GuateFortín's Miguel Ángel Benito in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 87th match minute, OROTINENSE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iordache Opincaru to maneuver through the defense. Ruhi Uluöz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 96th match minute, GuateFortín was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Villanueva to maneuver through the defense. OROTINENSE's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because GuateFortín had won, even though OROTINENSE had held more of the ball.
