In the 25thth minute of the game Claudio Scalise who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Deportivo Águila's Ricardo Peña was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Club Atlético Lea Papá defense, Libardo Fuentes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Maria Buljubasich. The Club Atlético Lea Papá fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Maria Buljubasich should have stopped the shot. In the 31st minute, Marcelo Carracedo made a precise shot to the right of Ricardo Peña. Club Deportivo Águila's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Ricardo Peña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Scalise in the 41st minute of play. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
