To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Grzegorz Bierfass blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xaiver Rosende having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grzegorz Bierfass in the 12th minute of play forced C.A. Peñarol's goalkeeper Xaiver Rosende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Grzegorz Bierfass cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Xaiver Rosende was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Inter de Chillán's Zhuo Xuan Yu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gong Ao Guang in the 15th minute of play. In the 19th minute Grzegorz Bierfass shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xaiver Rosende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A. Peñarol's goalkeeper Xaiver Rosende, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Menéndez Mallea's late challenge caught a Inter de Chillán's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Menéndez Mallea helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, C.A. Peñarol's Menéndez Mallea got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Grzegorz Bierfass fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xaiver Rosende having to interfere. After having played for 29 minutes, Samuel Abel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter de Chillán's supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Abel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zhuo Xuan Yu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gong Ao Guang went, in the 32nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gong Ao Guang in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zhuo Xuan Yu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zhuo Xuan Yu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gong Ao Guang in the 41st minute. After 42 minutes, Grzegorz Bierfass made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. C.A. Peñarol's Xaiver Rosende tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Grzegorz Bierfass was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Grzegorz Bierfass in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xaiver Rosende prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Menéndez Mallea kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Xaiver Rosende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grzegorz Bierfass, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Inter de Chillán made a substitution. Eladio Araujo replaced Grzegorz Bierfass. Inter de Chillán's Rickard Erserman was substituted for Samuel Abel. 63 minutes into the game, Florencio Jax threw the ball into play from the sideline. C.A. Peñarol's Hao Xu Jun quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Xaiver Rosende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eladio Araujo, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Xaiver Rosende took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eladio Araujo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Inter de Chillán's Eladio Araujo, in the 72nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Inter de Chillán. Eladio Araujo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Peñarol's goalkeeper Xaiver Rosende, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match was over Inter de Chillán could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than C.A. Peñarol throughout the match.
