Peñarol's Xaiver Rosende proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save C.A. Peñarol from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Estebano Levenier in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Candido Piedra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 11 minutes into the match, Pedro Reyes notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of C.A. Peñarol's Xaiver Rosende. Xaiver Rosende was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Altermundi FC's Jude Hylton got a free kick in the 16th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Visen Allu in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xaiver Rosende saved C.A. Peñarol from getting behind. Xaiver Rosende stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Visen Allu's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After a rather tough play, C.A. Peñarol's Gerónimo Molina got a free kick in the 27th minute. 31 minutes into the match, Altermundi FC's Visen Allu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xaiver Rosende narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Candido Piedra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerónimo Molina in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 36thth minute of the game Estebano Levenier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Altermundi FC's Candido Piedra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerónimo Molina to strike the kick off in the second half. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by C.A. Peñarol's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Recai Taykurt was slow to take the kick. During this time Altermundi FC's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Altermundi FC's corner Recai Taykurt fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Xaiver Rosende quite easily take care of the ball. In the 74thth minute of the game Gerónimo Molina who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Altermundi FC's Candido Piedra was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Visen Allu took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xaiver Rosende. Xaiver Rosende dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. C.A. Peñarol's Anselmo Velin was substituted for Gerónimo Molina. Thanks to some nice moves Anselmo Velin could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Candido Piedra however easily saved by the left post. Anselmo Velin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 91stth minute, Candido Piedra skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The Altermundi FC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
