Despite this Rogério Ceni quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 史默晨 came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Herbert Pracki. But to his dismay, Herbert Pracki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Cumhur Günay kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Rogério Ceni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Damião, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 史默晨 made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Herbert Pracki sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Pracki in the 23rd minute of play forced FCSB CUENCA's goalkeeper 史默晨 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's goal looked a bit too open when João Francisco Sanches came free, but Rogério Ceni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Herbert Pracki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that 史默晨 narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's goal looked a bit too open when Americo Olivar came free, but Rogério Ceni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 史默晨 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 45th match minute, FCSB CUENCA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leif Röd to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Damião in the 47th minute of play forced Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's goalkeeper Rogério Ceni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute Douglas Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rogério Ceni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Douglas Damião stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Rogério Ceni got control of the ball when Douglas Damião tried to sneak it across the goal line. Douglas Damião in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Damião in the 75th minute of play forced Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's goalkeeper Rogério Ceni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rogério Ceni was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Belgrano LOS PIRATAS getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Teodoro Hartz hit a great ball. FCSB CUENCA's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Belgrano LOS PIRATAS had won, even though FCSB CUENCA had held more of the ball.
