With a little luck, La Scaloneta's Franco Moscatelli got control of the ball when Aureliano Ovando tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gilberto Izel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. C. A. Franco Moscatelli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aureliano Ovando in the 44th minute. In the 47th match minute, La Scaloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolás Blandi to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aureliano Ovando was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Gilberto Izel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edward Peczkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd match minute, La Scaloneta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltasar Maurin to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amador Valente in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Franco Moscatelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute, Melchor Galindo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of C. A. BELGRANO booed when La Scaloneta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benicio Lauaxeta didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrique Rozarius got free with Edward Peczkowski in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Edward Peczkowski managed to avoid a goal in the 84thth minute, when La Scaloneta's Gilberto Izel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, La Scaloneta's Baltasar Maurin got a free kick in the 88th minute. Edelmiro Jago struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Franco Moscatelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. BELGRANO. If Elpidio Eufrasio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the game, one of La Scaloneta:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. C. A. BELGRANO fully deserved thier win.
