The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilberto Izel got free with Edward Peczkowski in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aureliano Ovando in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Franco Moscatelli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aureliano Ovando in the 38th minute of play forced La Scaloneta's goalkeeper Franco Moscatelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edward Peczkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Izel in the 44th minute of the match. Gilberto Izel's late challenge caught a C. A. BELGRANO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilberto Izel helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, La Scaloneta's Gilberto Izel got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aureliano Ovando stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edward Peczkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Izel in the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Aureliano Ovando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Moscatelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, C. A. BELGRANO's Edelmiro Jago got a free kick in the 63rd minute. C. A. BELGRANO's Amador Valente was substituted for Aureliano Ovando. A collision led to C. A. BELGRANO getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Edelmiro Jago hit a great ball. Nicolás Blandi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amador Valente could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Franco Moscatelli made a huge save. 72 minutes into the match, Enrique Rozarius had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edward Peczkowski. C. A. BELGRANO's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enrique Rozarius was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. If Enrique Rozarius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, La Scaloneta's Franco Moscatelli got control of the ball when Amador Valente tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 87th minute, Freddy Cidro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Franco Moscatelli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the C. A. BELGRANO players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for La Scaloneta.
