Rodrigo Rey was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anselmo Harriet kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionisio Aureo in the 11th minute of play forced CA Boca Jrs's goalkeeper Diego Tassotti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 13 minutes, Rodrigo Rey successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Rodrigo Rey made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alfonso Boccanera in the 16th minute. After 17 played minutes ★Independiente Ψ★ got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Eliazar. If Felice Cino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute, Anselmo Harriet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diego Tassotti was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After a rather tough play, CA Boca Jrs's Demetrio Castellani got a free kick in the 25th minute. Alfonso Boccanera who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Rodrigo Rey when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Diego Tassotti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Harriet in the 30th minute of play. Ermegildo Asur blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Diego Tassotti having to make a save. After 39 minutes of play, ★Independiente Ψ★'s Anselmo Harriet made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diego Tassotti was left in no man's land by his defense there! CA Boca Jrs's Ettore Gelsomini was substituted for Alfonso Boccanera. The supporters of ★Independiente Ψ★ booed when CA Boca Jrs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arturo Santilli didn't get a good kick on the ball.

Rodrigo Rey didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ettore Gelsomini went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the ★Independiente Ψ★ defense, Ettore Gelsomini kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodrigo Rey. The ★Independiente Ψ★ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodrigo Rey should have stopped the shot. If Ettore Gelsomini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rodrigo Rey didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when CA Boca Jrs's Ettore Gelsomini shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-2 in the ordered_time% minute. Ermegildo Asur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Tassotti having to interfere. Rodrigo Rey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ettore Gelsomini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the game, Ermegildo Asur recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Diego Tassotti. Ermegildo Asur showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-3. Ruperto Cortez's late challenge caught a CA Boca Jrs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ruperto Cortez helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to ★Independiente Ψ★ getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Ruperto Cortez hit a great ball. In the 91st minute Clemente Vachon suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The supporters of ★Independiente Ψ★ booed when CA Boca Jrs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Demetrio Castellani didn't get a good kick on the ball. CA Boca Jrs were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of ★Independiente Ψ★ for a fine match.
