Olimpia HSB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabian Czeszejko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Konstanty Wawro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Morientes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nistor Sârban stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Olimpia HSB's goalkeeper Vladan Kovačević, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vladan Kovačević was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Nistor Sârban capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nistor Sârban really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. The crowd rose to their feet as Rega Merida CF's Leonello Messias slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vladan Kovačević. That made the score 1-4 after 59 minutes of play. Konstanty Wawro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Czeszejko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rega Merida CF's Ryan Gravenhorst managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sixto Yanguas in the 64 minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nistor Sârban in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vladan Kovačević prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Olimpia HSB's Vladan Kovačević played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonello Messias in the 70th minute of play. Fernando Morientes took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Konstanty Wawro. Konstanty Wawro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Olimpia HSB's Tomáš Petrásek was substituted for Sixto Yanguas. Rega Merida CF's Wasyl Dziurowicz was substituted for Leonello Messias. Olimpia HSB made a substitution. Jacek Pietrowiak replaced Fabian Czeszejko. In the 93rd minute Wasyl Dziurowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladan Kovačević saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Olimpia HSB supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rega Merida CF's performance. The match ended with a win for Rega Merida CF.
