An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Czeszejko in the 13th minute of play forced KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's goalkeeper Jan Basaik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's Jan Basaik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Czeszejko in the 14th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Fabian Czeszejko ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan Basaik was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Vladan Kovačević made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ale Glowacz in the 25th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Olimpia HSB's zone, Ale Glowacz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladan Kovačević came out of the goal and Ale Glowacz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabian Czeszejko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Basaik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. The supporters of KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ booed when Olimpia HSB was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Morientes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vladan Kovačević took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ale Glowacz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes into the match, KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Czeszejko came free, but Jan Basaik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
