KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's Jan Basaik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nistor Sârban in the 4th minute of play. 4 minutes into the game, Rega Merida CF's Nistor Sârban nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jan Basaik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nistor Sârban in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan Basaik saved KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ from getting behind. The supporters of KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ booed when Rega Merida CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryan Gravenhorst didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nistor Sârban in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan Basaik saved KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ from getting behind. Jan Basaik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lech Matela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Nistor Sârban made the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Ryan Gravenhorst in the 51st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's Niculae Ghionea. After 52 played minutes Rega Merida CF got a freekick which was hit by Ryan Gravenhorst. In the 54th minute of the game Niculae Ghionea made a throw-in which Daniel Skorny played forward. The supporters of KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ booed when Rega Merida CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wasyl Dziurowicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute, Niculae Ghionea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th minute Nistor Sârban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Basaik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Ale Glowacz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Konstanty Wawro. Rega Merida CF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ale Glowacz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Rega Merida CF made a substitution. Leonello Messias replaced Cemal Palabıyık. KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's Hugon Murdza was substituted for Przemyslaw Moryl. Rega Merida CF's Karol Swiderski was substituted for Wasyl Dziurowicz. 73 minutes into the match, KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ's goal looked a bit too open when Leonello Messias came free, but Jan Basaik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led to Rega Merida CF's Karol Swiderski getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Jan Basaik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonello Messias, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Konstanty Wawro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto-Carlos Petrović, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Derman Cruchet took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Konstanty Wawro. Konstanty Wawro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Jan Basaik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nistor Sârban in the 95th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The KOZIOŁKI KKS POZNAŃ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Rega Merida CF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
