But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edoardo Filippini couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Deus Ex Machina's Fabien Nunes got control of the ball when Edoardo Filippini tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fabien Nunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edoardo Filippini in the 18th minute of the match. Tristan Bétourne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jim Caze, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 32 played minutes Deus Ex Machina got a freekick which was hit by Felix Laget. Fabien Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christophe Dureuil, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Deus Ex Machina's goalkeeper Fabien Nunes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christophe Dureuil. Edoardo Filippini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Fabien Nunes made a huge save. In the 42nd match minute, Deus Ex Machina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ibrahim Gaudel to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Deus Ex Machina's goalkeeper Fabien Nunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Royal PSG's Flavien Villemin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fabien Nunes. That made the score 1-0 after 43 minutes of play. The throw-in from Frédéric Courtial in the 46th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Royal PSG's Samuel Jouglet. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edoardo Filippini made a kick off. When Maurice Bernon fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deus Ex Machina's protests and gave Maurice Bernon a yellow card for diving instead. Royal PSG's Edoardo Filippini got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 58 minutes into the match, Deus Ex Machina's goal looked a bit too open when Edoardo Filippini came free, but Fabien Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edoardo Filippini in the 61st minute of play forced Deus Ex Machina's goalkeeper Fabien Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Royal PSG booed when Deus Ex Machina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walter Martinaud didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute Edoardo Filippini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabien Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ibrahim Gaudel hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Royal PSG made a substitution. Samuel Izard replaced Edoardo Filippini. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuel Izard in the 83rd minute of play forced Deus Ex Machina's goalkeeper Fabien Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Samuel Izard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Royal PSG fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Samuel Izard struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Fabien Nunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Royal PSG. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Royal PSG fully deserved thier win.
