The referee ignored Lunar Park's protests and gave Luisito Hernando a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th minute, Luisito Hernando hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Fabien Canu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fabien Canu scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tristan Vicente, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arnaud Konieczny's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Cedric Van Langhendoncx skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Arnaud Konieczny who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Cedric Van Langhendoncx when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Arnaud Konieczny, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 25 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Cedric Van Langhendoncx was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Fabien Canu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tristan Vicente having to make a save. Tristan Vicente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabien Canu in the 26th minute of play. With his leg Cedric Van Langhendoncx managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Herblay's Arnaud Konieczny fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Herblay's Tristan Vicente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabien Canu in the 34th minute of play. Tristan Vicente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabien Canu in the 36th minute of the match. Lunar Park were furious when Ramiro Nastasio was red carded, 39 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 38th minute of the game. One of Lunar Park:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Herblay:s goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claude Ciron stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tristan Vicente made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claude Ciron in the 53rd minute. Claude Ciron could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Tristan Vicente made a huge save. The supporters of Lunar Park booed when Herblay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Romeo Gleizes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Arnaud Konieczny's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cedric Van Langhendoncx was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Tristan Vicente was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Lunar Park players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
