Olavo Lucas had several of the Teresópolis F.C's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 5 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Velcho Rolanski as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 11th minute Olavo Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Velcho Rolanski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute Gigante da Colina FC-DMZ were awarded a corner. Olavo Lucas went to the cornerflag to take it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Olavo Lucas to strike the kick off in the second half. Dida Gröhe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Baptista in the 57th minute of the match. Albertinho Cavalcante might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Velcho Rolanski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albertinho Cavalcante ran back to his position shaking his head. Velcho Rolanski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barry Baxter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, Väino Ratas notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Teresópolis F.C's Velcho Rolanski. Velcho Rolanski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lucjan Klewinski's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dida Gröhe firmly grabbed it by the left post.
