In the 22nd match minute, Messejana SportClub - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darío Furlan to maneuver through the defense. Artur Pernambucano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juarês Melo in the 25th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Juarês Melo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artur Pernambucano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Eugênio de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Per-Olof Sikström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nando Custódio made in the 36th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Messejana SportClub - DMZ's Yuri Alberto. Messejana SportClub - DMZ's Per-Olof Sikström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Messejana SportClub - DMZ from getting a goal against them. In the 39thth minute of the game Eugênio de Carvalho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Messejana SportClub - DMZ's Per-Olof Sikström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Per-Olof Sikström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roderick van Boxel in the 40th minute of play. Artur Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juarês Melo, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After 44 minutes, Roderick van Boxel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Breguete FC and the Messejana SportClub - DMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th match minute, Breguete FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roderick van Boxel to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Breguete FC's zone, Juarês Melo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Pernambucano came out of the goal and Juarês Melo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juarês Melo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Breguete FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdir Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. After 51 minutes of play, Messejana SportClub - DMZ's Daniel Penha made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Artur Pernambucano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Per-Olof Sikström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roderick van Boxel in the 55th minute of the match. Juarês Melo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Artur Pernambucano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Artur Pernambucano made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Juarês Melo sent off a good shot on target. Artur Pernambucano came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Messejana SportClub - DMZ's Juarês Melo. But to his dismay, Juarês Melo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. A collision led to Breguete FC getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Eugênio de Carvalho hit a great ball. Artur Pernambucano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of André Luiz Pitta's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Juarês Melo came free with the goalkeeper in the 81st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Artur Pernambucano could save by the left post. In the 89th minute, Juarês Melo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Messejana SportClub - DMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. In the 93rdth minute of the game Juarês Melo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Breguete FC's Artur Pernambucano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of Messejana SportClub - DMZ booed when Breguete FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugênio de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 97th minute of the match Messejana SportClub - DMZ got a corner. Breguete FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Penha ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Juarês Melo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Artur Pernambucano quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Breguete FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Messejana SportClub - DMZ's performance. The match ended with a win for Messejana SportClub - DMZ.
