The audience thought a goal was coming when Kauã de Carvalho got free with Daniel Chaves in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With an all-out effort, Novorizontino - DMZ's Daniel Chaves threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jailson Rossi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 13 played minutes Novorizontino - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Joel Veloso. Gustavo Gomes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Martín Silva. Novorizontino - DMZ's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dragões Barbudos FC's Daniel Chaves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jailson Rossi in the 23rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kauã de Carvalho got free with Daniel Chaves in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Martín Silva came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Dragões Barbudos FC's Idalécio Baldaia. But to his dismay, Idalécio Baldaia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Pedro Augusto Coutinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Martín Silva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Augusto Coutinho ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Dragões Barbudos FC's Daniel Chaves got control of the ball when Jailson Rossi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Martín Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Martín Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Augusto Coutinho in the 42nd minute of play. Pedro Augusto Coutinho scored 0-3 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Martín Silva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Novorizontino - DMZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Dragões Barbudos FC were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kauã de Carvalho to make the kick off. Jailson Rossi took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Chaves. Daniel Chaves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Novorizontino - DMZ made a substitution. Kristoffer Dalkvist replaced Marco Ordono.
