The corner led Pousada 2 Pedros FC's Andrézinho Medeiros to fire away a dangerous shot which Guto Taffarel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Marco Pimenta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arlindo de Salles in the 10th minute. Marco Pimenta made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Aki Guardo sent off a good shot on target. 12 minutes into the game, Aki Guardo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marco Pimenta. Aki Guardo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Marco Pimenta was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arlindo de Salles showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 26 minute of play. Guto Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernabe Nel, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of LUIZ PANATO's goalie and right to Egídio Souza. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. LUIZ PANATO's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Guto Taffarel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Pousada 2 Pedros FC defense, Aki Guardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Pimenta. The Pousada 2 Pedros FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Pimenta should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when 苏树建 made the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Tarcisio Diniz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LUIZ PANATO and the Pousada 2 Pedros FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Pousada 2 Pedros FC booed when LUIZ PANATO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tarcisio Diniz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Pimenta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Paraense, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute.
