In the 40th minute Arlindo Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Pimenta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernabe Nel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Biagio Furino came out and tried to block the shot, but Bernabe Nel slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 42nd minute. Marco Pimenta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee ignored Pousada 2 Pedros FC's protests and gave Feliberto Jacindo a yellow card for diving instead. After recieving a nice pass, Paraná Clube Brasil's Zé Pedro Prestes tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pousada 2 Pedros FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Paraná Clube Brasil had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
