The Atlético Guidovalense fans' excitement grew in the 5th match minute when Atlético Guidovalense's Ruy Neves looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Matías Azevedo in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guillen Aguillar saved Atlético Guidovalense from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Guidovalense's zone, Ademar Rodrigues stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guillen Aguillar came out of the goal and Ademar Rodrigues tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. John Osomo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Lucas in the 12th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the match, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Lucas came free, but John Osomo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes in the game Edgard Mendes did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Marco Löhr. John Osomo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matías Azevedo in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guillen Aguillar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edgard Dubardo kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. John Osomo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruy Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. John Osomo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruy Neves in the 34th minute of play. In the 38th match minute, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandro Mandrak to maneuver through the defense. In the 46th minute, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Matías Azevedo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matías Azevedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's goalkeeper John Osomo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgar Lucas. The referee ignored PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's protests and gave Matías Azevedo a yellow card for diving instead. Matías Azevedo hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Marco Löhr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. John Osomo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matías Azevedo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Guillen Aguillar having to make a save. Guillen Aguillar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matías Azevedo in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute Marco Löhr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Osomo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ made a substitution. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Atlético Guidovalense reached it. Ruy Neves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but John Osomo made a huge save. Edgard Dubardo's late challenge caught a Atlético Guidovalense's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edgard Dubardo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th minute, Edgard Dubardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
