The ball went over the crossbar instead. 16 minutes into the game, Seterma Tractors's Ademir Tande nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Telmo Valadares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After having played for 19 minutes, Fabrício Jardel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lupere FC - DMZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabrício Jardel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabrício Jardel in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patrik Sikström saved Seterma Tractors from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabrício Jardel in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Patrik Sikström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rdth minute of the game Fabrício Jardel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Seterma Tractors's Patrik Sikström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Lupere FC - DMZ's Fabrício Jardel in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Patrik Sikström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciro Di Croce, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Augusto Soeiro in the 39th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Lupere FC - DMZ's João de Sousa. After 40 played minutes Lupere FC - DMZ got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Paraense. Telmo Valadares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilton de Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Seterma Tractors's Patrik Sikström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alan das Neves in the 55th minute of play. Acácio Santana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Valadares having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Acácio Santana in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Telmo Valadares saved Lupere FC - DMZ from getting behind. In the 64th match minute, Lupere FC - DMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Paraense to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Lupere FC - DMZ booed when Seterma Tractors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto Soeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enéas de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Valadares having to interfere. Patrik Sikström stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabrício Jardel's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Fabrício Jardel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patrik Sikström having to make a save. Patrik Sikström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabrício Jardel, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute, Fabrício Jardel made a precise shot to the right of Patrik Sikström. Seterma Tractors's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Lupere FC - DMZ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Seterma Tractors had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
