In the 28th minute Dé Vander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ferrao FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Clemente Pires was slow to take the kick. During this time PIRATAS TFP's players had a chance to rest. In the 37th minute Carlinhos Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Borges saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PIRATAS TFP's Antônio Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pelle Grini in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, PIRATAS TFP's Gilberto Simão got a free kick in the 44th minute. After 45 played minutes, Ferrao FC's Pelle Grini shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Antônio Borges came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ferrao FC reached it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlinhos Viana to make the kick off. César Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kristofers Cveigorēns in the 56th minute of the match. PIRATAS TFP's Antônio Borges played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angelo Vidal in the 57th minute of play. PIRATAS TFP's Antônio Borges proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save PIRATAS TFP from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pelle Grini got free with Antônio Borges in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute, Ferrao FC's Claudinho Arantes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. The supporters of PIRATAS TFP booed when Ferrao FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho Arantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 93 minutes, Clemente Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PIRATAS TFP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clemente Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
