PIRATAS TFP's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Dé Vander made in the 36th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Jacinto de Lara however managed to control. The throw-in from Laerte Torres in the 38th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by PIRATAS TFP's Gerson de Barros.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacinto de Lara to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabrício Jardel in the 52nd minute of play forced PIRATAS TFP's goalkeeper Antônio Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacinto de Lara got free with Telmo Valadares in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jacinto de Lara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Telmo Valadares having to make a save. Jacinto de Lara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Telmo Valadares made a huge save. Clemente Pires hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
