The audience thought a goal was coming when Doğaner Doğu got free with Breno Vergílio in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barbieri Sports's goalkeeper Breno Vergílio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With 12 minutes on the clock, Douglas Paulista commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 11 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cambotinha EC! In the 14th minute of the match Barbieri Sports got a corner. Cambotinha EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ramiro Novaes ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Barbieri Sports's corner Ramiro Novaes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Claudinho Azevedo quite easily take care of the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Barbieri Sports's Bebeto Severo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudinho Azevedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 24 minutes into the match, Bebeto Severo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudinho Azevedo. Cambotinha EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bebeto Severo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Vitinho de Barros's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Breno Vergílio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 40 minutes into the match, Barbieri Sports's goal looked a bit too open when Vitinho de Barros came free, but Breno Vergílio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vitinho de Barros got free with Breno Vergílio in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elivélton do Nascimento in the 43rd minute of play forced Cambotinha EC's goalkeeper Claudinho Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barbieri Sports's Breno Vergílio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Barbieri Sports from getting a goal against them. After 46 minutes of play, Barbieri Sports's Benjamin da Mata made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudinho Azevedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vitinho de Barros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Boruc Sokolski in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Claudinho Azevedo saved Cambotinha EC from getting behind. 53 minutes into the game, Cambotinha EC's Doğaner Doğu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Breno Vergílio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Elivélton do Nascimento could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Claudinho Azevedo made a huge save. 60 minutes into the game, Ian Barral cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Breno Vergílio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Elivélton do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 68th match minute, Barbieri Sports was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murilo Saraiva to maneuver through the defense. Cambotinha EC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Norino Anabalon in the 70th minute. Cambotinha EC's Norino Anabalon was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Breno Vergílio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cambotinha EC's Marco Queirós was substituted for Norino Anabalon. Doğaner Doğu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 82nd minute, Yan Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudinho Azevedo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramiro Novaes in the 84th minute. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cambotinha EC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ramiro Novaes was slow to take the kick. During this time Barbieri Sports's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cambotinha EC's goalie and right to Elivélton do Nascimento. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cambotinha EC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After 94 played minutes Barbieri Sports got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro Novaes. Breno Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vitinho de Barros in the 96th minute of the match.
