Maurino Serena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Vissenaeken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goal looked a bit too open when Erlantz Bermejo came free, but Vítor Baia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to A.D. Alcorcón getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Apolinar Guijarro hit a great ball. In the 20th minute Guido Vissenaeken shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maurino Serena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Brugge United's Guido Vissenaeken ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Maurino Serena. Maurino Serena yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Maurino Serena was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Guido Vissenaeken capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Guido Vissenaeken really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 33 minutes into the match, A.D. Alcorcón's goalkeeper Maurino Serena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guido Vissenaeken. 35 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goal looked a bit too open when Erlantz Bermejo came free, but Vítor Baia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 36 played minutes A.D. Alcorcón got a freekick which was hit by Delmar Mayor. Jaspar Van Den Broeck struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Maurino Serena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brugge United. In the 47th minute Brugge United were awarded a corner. Jaspar Van Den Broeck went to the cornerflag to take it. Laurențiu Roşculeţ made a great header on Brugge United's corner, it was just that A.D. Alcorcón's Maurino Serena managed to reach the ball for a save. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Guido Vissenaeken stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute of the match Jaspar Van Den Broeck sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Maurino Serena skillfully saved the ball. After some careless play in the A.D. Alcorcón defense, Guido Vissenaeken kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maurino Serena. The A.D. Alcorcón fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maurino Serena should have stopped the shot. Maurino Serena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Vissenaeken in the 60th minute of play. Maurino Serena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Vissenaeken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute there was a penalty for Brugge United. Guido Vissenaeken stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Maurino Serena. 6-0. Brugge United's Waud Huijbrechts was substituted for Jaspar Van Den Broeck. A.D. Alcorcón's Laurin Mangas was substituted for Nereo Acosta. 73 minutes into the game, Guido Vissenaeken cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Maurino Serena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alcorcón's Leroy Antunez in 94 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Vítor Baia guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After a defensive mix-up in A.D. Alcorcón's zone, Guido Vissenaeken stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurino Serena came out of the goal and Guido Vissenaeken tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
