The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Vissenaeken in the 23rd minute of play forced Machados FC V2's goalkeeper Rodrigo Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guido Vissenaeken might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodrigo Lima. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Guido Vissenaeken ran back to his position shaking his head. Rodrigo Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Vissenaeken in the 27th minute of play. Brugge United's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jaspar Van Den Broeck in the 34th minute. Bogdan Mailat blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vítor Baia having to make a save. Vítor Baia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Mailat in the 42nd minute of the match. The Machados FC V2 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Brugge United were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guido Vissenaeken was the one to do the kick off. In the 90th minute, Ümit Karan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 90th of the match, Ümit Karan tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Rodrigo Lima got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 93rd minute, Brugge United's Arnauld Van Impe dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Brugge United had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
