Ümit Karan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danijel Subašić having to interfere. In the 9th match minute, Brugge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Will Deman to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnauld Van Impe in the 14th minute of play forced Club Atletico Juanita's goalkeeper Danijel Subašić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danijel Subašić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnauld Van Impe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brugge United's Vítor Baia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Brugge United from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute Baltasar Guerrero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Baia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Atletico Juanita's Danijel Subašić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnauld Van Impe in the 36th minute of play. Danijel Subašić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurențiu Roşculeţ in the 40th minute of play. Arnauld Van Impe scored 0-1 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Danijel Subašić, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Club Atletico Juanita players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Brugge United were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arnauld Van Impe was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Juanita's goalkeeper Danijel Subašić had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnauld Van Impe. With a little luck, Club Atletico Juanita's Danijel Subašić got control of the ball when Arnauld Van Impe tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 57 minutes of play, Brugge United's Ümit Karan made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danijel Subašić was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arnauld Van Impe's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Danijel Subašić firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 74th minute Brugge United were awarded a corner. Jaspar Van Den Broeck went to the cornerflag to take it. Club Atletico Juanita's Danijel Subašić played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Laurențiu Roşculeţ in the 79th minute of play. In the 79th minute Laurențiu Roşculeţ shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danijel Subašić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danijel Subašić showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ümit Karan, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. 89 minutes into the game, Will Deman threw the ball into play from the sideline. Club Atletico Juanita's Desiderio Berdoi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some careless play in the Brugge United defense, Baltasar Guerrero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vítor Baia. The Brugge United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vítor Baia should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle sounded Brugge United left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Club Atletico Juanita.
