In the 3rd minute of the game Otto Kalev made a throw-in which 林然诚 played forward. After a rather tough play, Magic is Back's Marcelo Trobbiani got a free kick in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by 林然诚 in the 9th minute of play forced Magic is Back's goalkeeper Ruben Sánchez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastián Battaglia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ruben Sánchez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noah Le Bret Maboulou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute Noah Le Bret Maboulou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Sánchez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Guido Delfino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ruben Sánchez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noah Le Bret Maboulou in the 24th minute of play. Ruben Sánchez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 林然诚, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Noah Le Bret Maboulou blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ruben Sánchez having to make a save. Ruben Sánchez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Noah Le Bret Maboulou, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Marcelo Trobbiani came free with the goalkeeper in the 39th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and 郭德常 could save by the left post. 43 minutes into the game, Gutenberg's Noah Le Bret Maboulou nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ruben Sánchez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After the first half Gutenberg were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Martin Palermo might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over 郭德常. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Martin Palermo ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Palermo in the 52nd minute of play forced Gutenberg's goalkeeper 郭德常 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Martin Palermo's late challenge caught a Gutenberg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Martin Palermo helped the player get up and apologised. Magic is Back made a substitution. Claudio Marangoni replaced Marcelo Trobbiani. After 57 minutes Magic is Back's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jose Quinito who took care of the corner kick. Otto Kalev made a great header on Gutenberg's corner, it was just that Magic is Back's Ruben Sánchez managed to reach the ball for a save. If Luis Medero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gutenberg's 郭德常 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Palermo in the 63rd minute of play. 70 minutes into the match, Gutenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Palermo came free, but 郭德常 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruben Sánchez made an important save on a dangerous shot by 林然诚 in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute Martin Palermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 郭德常 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gutenberg's 郭德常 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Palermo in the 84th minute of play. Magic is Back's Rubén-Darío Feldmann was substituted for Luis Medero. Gutenberg's Nelson Cuevas was substituted for Guido Delfino. Magic is Back's Osvaldo Potente was substituted for Martin Palermo. A sloppy throw-in by Miguel Nicolau in the 87th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Gutenberg's Jose Quinito. Jose Quinito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 郭德常 showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastián Battaglia, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The Gutenberg supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gutenberg would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
