After 2 played minutes Armageddon got a freekick which was hit by Pavel Nurme. Olaf Kööp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Toldo having to interfere. Francesco Toldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manole Miulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. King Cock sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute Manole Miulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francesco Toldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Marko Ööpik managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Porvoon Futura's Iso Gulli fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 17th minute, Olaf Kööp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francesco Toldo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 22nd minute, Manole Miulescu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Armageddon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 28 minutes into the match, Inocencio Hondo notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Porvoon Futura's Francesco Toldo. Francesco Toldo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Francesco Toldo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olaf Kööp's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giancarlo Antognoni in the 34th minute of play forced Porvoon Futura's goalkeeper Francesco Toldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francesco Toldo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olaf Kööp, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Francesco Toldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olaf Kööp in the 38th minute of play. Iso Gulli kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Porvoon Futura's Francesco Toldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manole Miulescu in the 40th minute of play. Gunnar Westerstrand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Toldo having to interfere. Porvoon Futura's Francesco Toldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manole Miulescu in the 44th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by King Cock during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. King Cock hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Marko Ööpik came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Porvoon Futura's Iso Gulli. But to his dismay, Iso Gulli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Iso Gulli was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manole Miulescu in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francesco Toldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Henrik Höijer during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Porvoon Futura fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 62nd minute. Penalty! Manole Miulescu shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 65th minute, Inocencio Hondo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Porvoon Futura's goalkeeper Francesco Toldo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Michel Legdeur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Toldo having to interfere. Francesco Toldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olaf Kööp in the 76th minute of play. Porvoon Futura's Francesco Toldo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Porvoon Futura from getting a goal against them. When Giancarlo Antognoni came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Armageddon fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giancarlo Antognoni couldn't finish the play. Francesco Toldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olaf Kööp in the 85th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olaf Kööp in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francesco Toldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Francesco Toldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giancarlo Antognoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jari Litmanen kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Giancarlo Antognoni struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Francesco Toldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Armageddon. The audience was convinced that Michel Legdeur's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francesco Toldo was relentless in the 102nd minute of the game. Armageddon's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
