Jaspar De Weijgaert might have been able to make a better finish in the 5th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rune Jarstein. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaspar De Weijgaert ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilhelm Nienhaus got free with Robert Tarcu in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rune Jarstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaspar De Weijgaert in the 15th minute of play. Rune Jarstein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iurie Ilie, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goal looked a bit too open when Iurie Ilie came free, but Rune Jarstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 27 minutes of play, Hertha 1969's Wilhelm Nienhaus made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robert Tarcu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ziemowit Tscherner made in the 29th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Zé Paulo da Silva however managed to control. 30 minutes into the match, THE CRYSTAL SHIP's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Paulo da Silva came free, but Robert Tarcu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35thth minute of the game Jaspar De Weijgaert who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 38 minutes into the match, THE CRYSTAL SHIP's goalkeeper Robert Tarcu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gigel Elenescu. In the 39th minute Jaspar De Weijgaert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 43 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Jaspar De Weijgaert sped through Hertha 1969's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rune Jarstein. In the 47th minute, Jaspar De Weijgaert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 59 minutes, Ziemowit Tscherner made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. THE CRYSTAL SHIP's Robert Tarcu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 63rd minute Costel Macavei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 68 minutes, Iurie Ilie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. THE CRYSTAL SHIP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iurie Ilie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rune Jarstein was a little too slow when Jaspar De Weijgaert got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 2-2. In the 79th minute Iurie Ilie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 80 minutes of play, Hertha 1969's Rupert Heidingsfelder made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robert Tarcu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 83rd match minute, Hertha 1969 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rupert Heidingsfelder to maneuver through the defense. Iurie Ilie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Rune Jarstein made a huge save. Hertha 1969's Rune Jarstein proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Hertha 1969 from getting a goal against them. Robert Tarcu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gigel Elenescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute Costel Macavei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Jarstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaspar De Weijgaert in the 89th minute of play forced Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 92 minutes into the match, Hertha 1969's goalkeeper Rune Jarstein had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Borys Dudek. Iurie Ilie could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Rune Jarstein made a huge save. THE CRYSTAL SHIP's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
