Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zadornin Puig in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maurino Serena prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zadornin Puig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurino Serena having to interfere. Baraxil Sarrate took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Esteban Vadillos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentin Voicu struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Maurino Serena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VILLARREAL UNITED. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valentin Voicu got free with Maurino Serena in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 21 minutes into the match, VILLARREAL UNITED's Valentin Voicu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maurino Serena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 21st minute, VILLARREAL UNITED's Valentin Voicu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Maurino Serena. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Belo Alvarez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Maurino Serena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Voicu in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Valentin Voicu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VILLARREAL UNITED fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. In the 64th minute, Delmar Mayor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. VILLARREAL UNITED's Jufran Van Landschoot was substituted for Zadornin Puig. 66 minutes into the match, A.D. Alcorcón's goal looked a bit too open when Nofre Madariaga came free, but Maurino Serena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. VILLARREAL UNITED were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after A.D. Alcorcón's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Delmar Campello took the corner. Alcorcón's Maurino Serena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Voicu in the 91st minute of play. When Erlantz Bermejo came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the A.D. Alcorcón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erlantz Bermejo couldn't finish the play. VILLARREAL UNITED's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
