Renato Tapia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Baraxil Sarrate having to make a save. 6 minutes into the match, Real Club Celta de Vigo's goalkeeper Pepe Toxeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zadornin Puig. Pepe Toxeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zadornin Puig in the 8th minute of the match. Pepe Toxeiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zadornin Puig in the 13th minute. Zadornin Puig's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pepe Toxeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Delmar Campello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pepe Toxeiro having to interfere. Baraxil Sarrate showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Tapia, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After a rather tough play, Real Club Celta de Vigo's Poli Urquijo got a free kick in the 36th minute. After some careless play in the VILLARREAL UNITED defense, Renato Tapia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Baraxil Sarrate. The VILLARREAL UNITED fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Baraxil Sarrate should have stopped the shot. In the 48th minute VILLARREAL UNITED were awarded a corner. Delmar Campello went to the cornerflag to take it. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Valentin Voicu advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-1 in the 48th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Valentin Voicu made the kick off in the second half. Pepe Toxeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Voicu in the 54th minute of play. In the 54th minute, Valentin Voicu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pepe Toxeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 62nd minute, Valentin Voicu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VILLARREAL UNITED fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. VILLARREAL UNITED's Gert Vesterberg was substituted for Hustaz Quijana. A collision led to Real Club Celta de Vigo getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Calisto Camacho hit a great ball. In the 70th minute Valentin Voicu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pepe Toxeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nofre Madariaga kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Valentin Voicu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pepe Toxeiro. Real Club Celta de Vigo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valentin Voicu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. Unai Nuñez made in the 84th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Everardo Arias however managed to control. Real Club Celta de Vigo's Pepe Toxeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Voicu in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Everardo Arias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. VILLARREAL UNITED's Franz Corral managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Oscar Valcarcel in the 90 minute of the game. In the 91st match minute, Real Club Celta de Vigo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Everardo Arias to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the match, Real Club Celta de Vigo's goal looked a bit too open when Valentin Voicu came free, but Pepe Toxeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Poli Urquijo made in the 94th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by VILLARREAL UNITED's Gert Vesterberg. Valentin Voicu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pepe Toxeiro having to interfere.
