ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Remigio Valerón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Du Yuan Chao in the 5th minute of play. In the 5th minute Du Yuan Chao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remigio Valerón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rosario Escarza made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Jakes Vila sent off a good shot on target. Remigio Valerón took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baldomero Chano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, LVCVS AVGVSTI's Rosario Escarza got control of the ball when Jakes Vila tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of LVCVS AVGVSTI booed when ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Reyes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remigio Valerón showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Du Yuan Chao, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the match, LVCVS AVGVSTI's goalkeeper Rosario Escarza had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jakes Vila. Aníbal Ríos got a throw-in 33 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Baldomero Chano. Jakes Vila might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rosario Escarza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jakes Vila ran back to his position shaking his head. Rosario Escarza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakes Vila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jakes Vila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Du Yuan Chao in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Remigio Valerón saved ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO from getting behind. 46 minutes into the match, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goal looked a bit too open when Ronny Skytt came free, but Remigio Valerón reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Du Yuan Chao stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, LVCVS AVGVSTI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeo Jax to maneuver through the defense. Jakes Vila scored 1-0 in the 55th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rosario Escarza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO made a substitution. Guido Escobar replaced Jakes Vila. Rosario Escarza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Escobar in the 60th minute of play. A throw-in in the 62nd minute of the game was made by Aníbal Ríos with Baldomero Chano as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In a very dangerous position, a player in LVCVS AVGVSTI fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! LVCVS AVGVSTI:s Rosario Escarza showed great skill when he stopped Guido Escobar:s penalty. Ronny Skytt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Remigio Valerón tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. LVCVS AVGVSTI made a substitution. Quilino Velasco replaced Diómedes Sánchez. LVCVS AVGVSTI made a substitution. Dominic Toretto replaced Aníbal Ríos. After 68 minutes, Cristian Reyes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO and the LVCVS AVGVSTI players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 68 played minutes ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Reyes. When Lazcano Mendez fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's protests and gave Lazcano Mendez a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of LVCVS AVGVSTI booed when ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lazcano Mendez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th minute Du Yuan Chao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remigio Valerón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind LVCVS AVGVSTI's goalkeeper Rosario Escarza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Baldomero Chano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Remigio Valerón made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves Baldomero Chano could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Remigio Valerón however easily saved by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Dominic Toretto managed to get in a good position for a shot. LVCVS AVGVSTI's supporters rose to their feet, but Dominic Toretto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remigio Valerón breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Lazcano Mendez got a free kick in the 88th minute. 89 minutes into the match, LVCVS AVGVSTI's Venancio Olayo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 94th minute of the game Dominic Toretto made a throw-in which Baldomero Chano played forward. After having played for 96 minutes, Ronny Skytt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LVCVS AVGVSTI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronny Skytt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. LVCVS AVGVSTI's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
