The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Orti Sánchez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albano Unzueta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Orti Sánchez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Albano Unzueta made a huge save. Albano Unzueta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calisto Abril in the 21st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Los once leones Ourense's Sebastián Paz got a free kick in the 24th minute. Los once leones Ourense's Albano Unzueta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Los once leones Ourense from getting a goal against them. Domeka Paredes came free with the goalkeeper in the 28th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Albano Unzueta could save by the left post. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by Los once leones Ourense's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gelacio Campomanes was slow to take the kick. During this time Fillos de Breogán's players had a chance to rest. Fillos de Breogán's Gelacio Campomanes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Albano Unzueta in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 34 minutes into the game, Los once leones Ourense's Dabi Vila nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Garibaldo Quijana made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Orti Sánchez's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Albano Unzueta firmly grabbed it by the left post. After some careless play in the Los once leones Ourense defense, Domeka Paredes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albano Unzueta. The Los once leones Ourense fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albano Unzueta should have stopped the shot. Albano Unzueta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calisto Abril in the 46th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dabi Vila to make the kick off. Garibaldo Quijana didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 51st minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. After 54 minutes, Sebastián Paz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Los once leones Ourense and the Fillos de Breogán players grew even worse after the yellow card. 57 minutes into the match, Los once leones Ourense's goal looked a bit too open when Calisto Abril came free, but Albano Unzueta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 63rd minute Calisto Abril shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albano Unzueta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albano Unzueta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orti Sánchez in the 65th minute of play. Albano Unzueta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calisto Abril in the 66th minute of the match. Garibaldo Quijana made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Nereo Cacheres sent off a good shot on target. 70 minutes into the match, Los once leones Ourense's goal looked a bit too open when Calisto Abril came free, but Albano Unzueta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albano Unzueta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calisto Abril in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calisto Abril in the 72nd minute of play forced Los once leones Ourense's goalkeeper Albano Unzueta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Garibaldo Quijana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dabi Vila, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. When Domeka Paredes came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Fillos de Breogán fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domeka Paredes couldn't finish the play. In the 83rd match minute, Los once leones Ourense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urdin Castan to maneuver through the defense. Albano Unzueta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gelacio Campomanes in the 84th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Calisto Abril hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Albano Unzueta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calisto Abril, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Garibaldo Quijana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dabi Vila in the 94th minute of play. The Los once leones Ourense players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
