The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vincent Solera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Perico Raya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of CD Boiro booed when Deportivo Alavés was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wiggo Wipp didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Deportivo Alavés defense, Eustaquio Turi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nils-Åke Andreasson. The Deportivo Alavés fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nils-Åke Andreasson should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustaquio Turi in the 12th minute of play forced Deportivo Alavés's goalkeeper Nils-Åke Andreasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eustaquio Turi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Nils-Åke Andreasson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute Vincent Solera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perico Raya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by CD Boiro's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Generoso Estrada was slow to take the kick. During this time Deportivo Alavés's players had a chance to rest. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eustaquio Turi got free with Nils-Åke Andreasson in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to CD Boiro getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Zeng Yong hit a great ball. Nils-Åke Andreasson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustaquio Turi in the 42nd minute of play. If Edgar Figari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sergi Gómez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Perico Raya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lesardo Alavedra stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, CD Boiro's Perico Raya got control of the ball when Lesardo Alavedra tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 55th minute, Erasto Mezquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Alavés's Aquilino Nobo got a free kick in the 58th minute. Deportivo Alavés's Nils-Åke Andreasson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgar Figari in the 60th minute of play. Nils-Åke Andreasson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Figari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 65 minutes of play, Deportivo Alavés's Sergi Gómez made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Perico Raya was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgar Figari in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nils-Åke Andreasson saved Deportivo Alavés from getting behind. Perico Raya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lesardo Alavedra in the 71st minute of play. Perico Raya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lesardo Alavedra in the 72nd minute of the match. CD Boiro's Perico Raya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lesardo Alavedra in the 77th minute of play. Perico Raya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lesardo Alavedra in the 83rd minute of the match. Nils-Åke Andreasson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Demario Cuadrado in the 86th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Figari in the 87th minute of play forced Deportivo Alavés's goalkeeper Nils-Åke Andreasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Perico Raya came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Deportivo Alavés's Lesardo Alavedra. But to his dismay, Lesardo Alavedra quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. CD Boiro's Alf Zachrisson was substituted for Steve Mur.
