Ovidiu Adrian made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sören Bergmann in the 4th minute. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lanzenkirchen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Horst-Peter Unterberger was slow to take the kick. During this time Poli Timisoara's players had a chance to rest. Vilhelm Larsson hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Victorio Demesio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lanzenkirchen's supporters rose to their feet, but Victorio Demesio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ovidiu Adrian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Karl-Åke Brummer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Primeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Poli Timisoara were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Lanzenkirchen's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Horst-Peter Unterberger took the corner. After taking down the ball on Poli Timisoara's corner Horst-Peter Unterberger fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Karl-Åke Brummer quite easily take care of the ball. If Sören Bergmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute Mauro Primeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Åke Brummer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes had been played when some careless play by Lanzenkirchen's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Despite this Karl-Åke Brummer quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 27 minutes into the game, Poli Timisoara's Bartosz Erland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karl-Åke Brummer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Karl-Åke Brummer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Primeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Lanzenkirchen's Karl-Åke Brummer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiger De Hond in the 35th minute of play. Tiger De Hond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Victorio Demesio to make the kick off. When Ovidiu Bal fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poli Timisoara's protests and gave Ovidiu Bal a yellow card for diving instead. Ovidiu Bal kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Lanzenkirchen were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Poli Timisoara's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Victorio Demesio took the corner. The corner led Lanzenkirchen's Leonardo Chiellini to fire away a dangerous shot which Ovidiu Adrian despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ovidiu Adrian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sören Bergmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ovidiu Adrian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oliver Gilessen in the 58th minute of play. Victorio Demesio struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Ovidiu Adrian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lanzenkirchen. 63 minutes into the match, Lanzenkirchen's goal looked a bit too open when Tiger De Hond came free, but Karl-Åke Brummer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lanzenkirchen's Karl-Åke Brummer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiger De Hond in the 65th minute of play. With a little luck, Lanzenkirchen's Karl-Åke Brummer got control of the ball when Çağdaş Yuvakuran tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victorio Demesio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ovidiu Adrian having to make a save. Roque Claus took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ovidiu Adrian. Ovidiu Adrian dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After 80 played minutes Poli Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Çağdaş Yuvakuran. After a defensive mix-up in Poli Timisoara's zone, Roque Claus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidiu Adrian came out of the goal and Roque Claus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ovidiu Adrian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sören Bergmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 88thth minute of the game Victorio Demesio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poli Timisoara's Ovidiu Adrian was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 89 played minutes Lanzenkirchen got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Tolsson. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Horst-Peter Unterberger managed to get in a good position for a shot.
