When Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's Anselmo Bakar, in the 10th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Sc Ajax Hirtenberg. Timo-Fabian Wolf hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute Rapid Wien were awarded a corner. Mirco Kähler went to the cornerflag to take it. Mirco Kähler made a great header on Rapid Wien's corner, it was just that Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's J.J J.J. managed to reach the ball for a save. 24 minutes into the match, Rapid Wien's goal looked a bit too open when Henk Horneber came free, but Alf Tempel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andre Ziffzer kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Shi Yuan Qi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but J.J J.J. saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raimundo Cortun took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alf Tempel. Rapid Wien's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rapid Wien's Werner Frach got a free kick in the 31st minute. Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Raimundo Cortun in the 33rd minute. The corner ended in Raimundo Cortun almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Rapid Wien's Alf Tempel did a great save. Alf Tempel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henk Horneber's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Dennis Hiemer hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. When Henk Horneber fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's protests and gave Henk Horneber a yellow card for diving instead. After 46 played minutes Sc Ajax Hirtenberg got a freekick which was hit by Henk Horneber.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Shi Yuan Qi to make the kick off. J.J J.J. showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Hagedorn, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 54th minute Albert Kraft shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but J.J J.J. saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's Raimundo Cortun to fire away a dangerous shot which Alf Tempel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Yuan Qi in the 60th minute of play forced Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's goalkeeper J.J J.J. to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. J.J J.J. showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shi Yuan Qi in the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shi Yuan Qi in the 62nd minute of play forced Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's goalkeeper J.J J.J. to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. J.J J.J. took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albert Kraft, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alf Tempel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henk Horneber in the 77th minute. 77 minutes into the game, Henk Horneber recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alf Tempel. Henk Horneber showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's Klaus-Dieter Gehlhaar was substituted for Osvaldo Lizer. After some careless play in the Rapid Wien defense, Arne Eschenbaum kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alf Tempel. The Rapid Wien fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alf Tempel should have stopped the shot. Mirco Kähler hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Alf Tempel made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Berat Haliç sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Rapid Wien getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sc Ajax Hirtenberg eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
